Spiritual Enrichment

"Strive for peace with all men, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord." (Heb 12:14)

Catholics Returning Home

A six-week support program that is aimed at helping Catholics return to the Church.  This program uses a non-judgmental approach that is designed to recognize the feelings of each participant, listen to their story and their concerns, and explain the teaching of the Church with patience and charity.  We meet two times a year, after Christmas and Easter, in the Family Life Center.  For more information, contact Josie Hagan (270-926-1483) or Liz Francis (270-926-3148).  There is also a website that we encourage you to visit: www.catholicscomehome.org.

Cursillo Christian Community

Gatherings for those interested in deepening their spiritual lives through prayer and sharing together in a climate of joy, sincerity, openness, and respect. Meetings are called “Ultreya” (Spanish for “Onward”), led by the Cursillo community and open to all. Meetings are held in the Family Life Center on the 1st and 4th Monday of the month at 7:00 PM. Contact Mary Hagan (270-240-4778) for more information or if you would like to join.

Email Prayer Chain

This group of parishioners prays for special intentions. Barbara Cecil (270-295-6988) will e-mail prayer request to you or you may place a prayer request through her e-mail address, [email protected]  She welcomes newcomers to the chain to offer their prayers for the special needs of others.

Eucharistic Adoration

We have Eucharistic Adoration available at the following times:

  • Tuesday: 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Friday: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM

For your security, there is a keypad on the doors of the church that requires a key code in order to open. You will need this code if you plan on going to adoration after 4 PM. If you are assigned to open and/or close adoration, you will need the key code as well as instructions for setting up adoration and/or taking it down. You can contact Mary Colburn for the key code and the opening/closing instructions.

Why Catholic?

This is a program, much like Arise, that gives our small groups the opportunity to grow in their Catholic faith. Why Catholic? is organized around the pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church: Faith, Sacraments, Morality, and Prayer. There is a 12-session book for each pillar. Sessions are usually 90-minutes and are designed to lead the participants in faith sharing around a quotation from Scripture and an appropriate section from the Catechism. Small groups meet in a participant’s home or in the Family Life Center. Please contact Mary Colburn if you would like to join a small group or receive more information about this program.
