Young Disciples
"Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and
conduct,
in love, in faith, in purity" (1 Tim 4:12).
Who We Are 
The Young Disciples is for students entering grades 7-12.
When We Meet
During the school year, we meet every Sunday night after the 5:30 pm Youth Mass, and close out with prayer in the Church at 8:30.
What We Do
Sunday nights contain a wide variety of activities from dinner, games, and social time to activities, presentations, discussion, and prayer. Once a month our meeting is spent with young people from other parishes in the Owensboro area. Since we are also a people of service, we have at least one opportunity each month to go out and be of service to our Church and community.
Our Mission
"Do not say, 'I am only a youth'; for to all to whom I send you you shall go, and whatever I command you you shall speak ... says the Lord" (Jer 1:7-8).
The dictionary defines a "disciple" in several ways, two of which are:
- to be a follower of Christ, and
- to spread the teachings and doctrines of another
